📡 Disable Wireless Features
Bluetooth • AirDrop • AirPlay Receiver
Turn off wireless features you don’t actively use. This reduces nearby attack surface and passive discovery — especially on public Wi‑Fi, while traveling, or under targeted surveillance.
đź’ˇ Quick Goal
Disable what you don’t use. If you rely on AirDrop or Bluetooth accessories daily, you can keep them on — but set safer defaults (like AirDrop = “No One” when not in use).
Step 1: Find Bluetooth in System Settings
1 Open System Settings and search for Bluetooth

Step 2: Turn Bluetooth Off
2 Toggle Bluetooth to Off

Step 3: Find AirDrop & Handoff / AirPlay Receiver
3 In System Settings, search for AirPlay (or AirDrop) and open AirDrop & Handoff

Step 4: Lock Down AirDrop & AirPlay Receiver
4 Set these safer defaults:
- AirDrop: set to No One when not actively using it
- AirPlay Receiver: turn Off if you don’t need it

✅ You’re Done
Your Mac is now less discoverable and has fewer wireless entry points exposed by default.
